Every place I read said that we should just wait for creatures to appear at the pond. But our house is approximately 1/4 mile from the nearest water and 80 feet up in elevation. So we stocked the pond in the spring. These are the creatures we stocked it with. There were some mistakes made. Creatures (eggs, larvae and adults) were purchased from eBay, a pond store and PetSmart. Toad tadpoles were obtained locally from a vernal pool in King of Prussia. Adult American Toads were obtained from surplus toads at the Roxborough Toad Detour.
